About Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB)
Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) is a news and talk format radio station in the United States that broadcasts news and information, covering local, regional, national, and international topics. OPB is the primary television and radio public broadcasting network for most of the U.S. state of Oregon, as well as southern Washington. The station provides essential news, information, and entertainment to the Northwest.
With public service at the heart of its journalistic mission, Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) delivers fact-based local, regional, and national news coverage daily, along with deep investigative reporting, original OPB series, podcasts, and more. It consists of five full-power television stations, dozens of VHF or UHF translators, and over 20 radio stations and frequencies. The station tells authentic stories about the people, places, events, and issues that shape the region. It also began producing a weekly podcast about local politics called OPB Politics Now, which is hosted by Geoff Norcross.
