About KQAK 105.7 FM
KQAK 105.7 FM is a United States-based classic hits music format commercial radio station that plays upbeat favorites from the 60s, 70s, and early 80s. KQAK was the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) call sign of a now-defunct classic rock and, more memorably, new wave/punk/gothic/ska radio station, “The Quake,” in San Francisco, California.
KQAK 105.7 FM is a heritage station in Central Oregon, and it was signed on the air on September 5, 1986, as KWBX with a classical music format, simulcasting KWAX 91.1 FM in Eugene. The station is committed to providing its listeners with the best classic hits music from the 60s, 70s, and early 80s, and it has become recognized as one of the nation’s top radio stations for these genres. It was recognized as the Oregon Radio Station of the Year in 2006.
