About WVTC 90.7 FM
WVTC 90.7 FM is a student-run radio station based in the United States that aims to provide quality programming for the local campus (Vermont Technical College) and its surrounding area in Orange County. The station is located in Morey Hall; it is operated and maintained by the students as a club and is financially supported by the college’s Student Council.
WVTC 90.7 FM is Vermont Technical College's very own campus radio station that began in 1963 as a small AM station on 640 kHz with a 2-watt transmitter in the Old Dorm building. The station also provides students with hands-on experience in the programming and technical sides of broadcasting. It is always looking for new DJs to grace the airwaves, and all are welcome to learn. In 2023, the station underwent minor renovations, including updates to the automation system, which was rewritten in Python.
