NewsTalk 1230 AM/99.3 FM, also known as WHOP (1230 kHz), is an American-based news/talk format broadcast radio station licensed to serve Hopkinsville, Kentucky, that provides local news, public affairs programs, and syndicated radio shows. Established on January 8, 1940, WHOP has a rich history of providing news, sports, and talk programming to its listeners. The station is currently owned by Forcht Broadcasting. Additionally, this radio station is a member of the Cincinnati Reds Radio Network, the Nashville Predators Radio Network, and the UK Sports Network, broadcasting games for these teams. It is also the long-time radio home of the annual Hopkinsville Rotary Club Radio Auction, which has been broadcast on the station since 1951.
