96.5 WSLR, also known as WSLR-LP FM, is a non-commercial community radio station based in the United States that features locally produced programming and presents cultural, artistic, and political perspectives currently underrepresented in the media. In alignment with the original purpose of Pacifica stations, the station’s programming promotes peace, social and economic justice, democracy, and sustainability and presents voices often neglected by the mainstream.
96.5 WSLR is a listener-supported, non-profit LPFM radio station whose goal is to inform and empower listeners to play an active role in their community. It embraces diversity and freedom of expression. Through the Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center, WSLR produces over 60 live concerts a year, hosts over 35 educational events, and provides low-cost space to like-minded non-profit organizations. The station is a Section 501(c)3 charitable organization, and also streams online.
