WVTF Public Radio

WVTF Public Radio is a United States-based non-commercial educational radio station licensed to serve Roanoke in southwest Virginia that focuses on news, talk, and information, including nationally known shows and in-depth regional reporting, while companion services under the WVTF umbrella offer classical music, jazz, and cultural programming. Owned by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) through its fundraising arm, the Virginia Tech Foundation, the station carries programming from NPR, the Public Radio Exchange, American Public Media, and the BBC World Service. The station’s service, branded as Radio IQ, has expanded to serve the Richmond, Virginia, area through full-power and translator signals delivering news and talk programming.
