About WHUS Sports
WHUS Sports is a United States-based non-commercial educational FM college radio station that primarily focuses on broadcasting live coverage of UConn’s athletic events, including football, basketball, soccer, and other sports. It is part of WHUS (91.7 FM), the University of Connecticut’s (UConn) student-run radio station. The station serves as a platform for students and the local community.
WHUS Sports provides commercial-free coverage of ten sports at UConn. It provides play-by-play commentary, pre-game and post-game analysis, and interviews with coaches and players. Additionally, WHUS Sports features sports talk shows and discussions on various sports-related topics. This radio station also provides the audio track for the UConn Athletic Department’s Huskies All-Access video channel, and for B2, the Broadband Sports and Entertainment Network.
