Radio Free Phoenix

Radio Free Phoenix, shortly known as “RFP,” is a United States-based internet radio station licensed to Phoenix, Arizona, that features specialty shows and themed segments that dig into specific eras or styles (e.g., 80s music hours, psychedelic rock, etc.). It is widely recognized for reviving the “freeform” radio format, a style of broadcasting where DJs have total creative control over their music selection, rather than following a rigid commercial playlist. The station aims to contrast with corporate radio by offering deep cuts, lesser-known artists, and varied genres well beyond mainstream hits.
