Picosa Radio

Picosa Radio, also known as KQSP (1530 AM), is a United States-based internet radio station licensed to Shakopee, Minnesota, and serving the western suburbs of Minneapolis that focuses heavily on tropical music, including salsa, merengue, bachata, and cumbia. Its format is primarily community and Spanish-language programming with tropical music and local content (based on streaming descriptions). The station was limited for many years by a predominantly daytime-only signal. Its call sign, KQSP (associated with “La Picosa”), historically operated on 1530 AM from Shakopee. It focuses on continuing the tradition of broadcasting tropical hits and news for the Minnesota Latino community and a global audience online. KQSP had a notable legacy dating back decades, but its official broadcast license was reportedly cancelled in March 2023 after extended silence and the license surrender.
