Mix 101.7, also known as KAYL-FM (101.7 FM), is a United States-based hot adult contemporary format broadcast radio station licensed to serve the community of Storm Lake, Iowa, that plays a variety of music from the 1980s to today. The station was owned by Sorenson Broadcasting Corporation and transferred to Community First Broadcasting. Operating at 101.7 MHz, KAYL-FM serves the local community with a blend of popular music, local news, weather updates, and sports coverage. In 1990, the station was purchased by Hedberg Broadcasting and became “Iowa’s Best FM-KAYL” with a hotter AC format. The station is affiliated with Fox News Radio and Radio Iowa. It features a mix of current hits and popular tracks from recent decades.
