KILI Radio

KILI Radio is a non-profit radio station that is supported by public grants and tribal government funding. It is governed by a board of directors composed of community leaders, such as Nellie Two Bulls. On the air 22 hours a day, seven days a week, KILI’s broadcast area covers 30,000 square miles and includes the Pine Ridge, Cheyenne River and Rosebud Reservations, Rapid City, the southern Black Hills and the panhandle of Nebraska. It features a variety of programming, including news, educational programs, cultural programs, and entertainment with a variety of music formats including traditional, Indian contemporary, country, rock and roll, rap, blues and jazz. The station is committed to providing daily programming that informs, educates, and enlightens the community. One of its popular programs is the Blues Disc Jockey, hosted by Bryant High Horse on Sunday mornings. The station is an important part of the Lakota community, and it provides a voice for the people of the Pine Ridge, Cheyenne River, and Rosebud Reservations. It is one of the most well known radio stations in the Porcupine, South Dakota area, and it has a loyal following of listeners. It is also a valuable resource for information and education, and it helps to promote Lakota culture and language.
