KCHU Public Radio, also known as KCHU (770 AM), is a non-commercial full-service public radio station based in the city of Valdez, Alaska, United States. The station airs a range of public radio programming from the National Public Radio and Public Radio International networks, including Morning Edition, All Things Considered, The World, Democracy Now, Fresh Air, American Routes, Beale Street, and World Cafe.
KCHU Public Radio (770 AM) is a news/talk format radio station and covers an area the size of the state of Ohio, but with a population of just over 10,000. The station serves seven communities around Prince William Sound and the Copper River Basin. It is a non-profit and is publicly supported by the listeners throughout a 46,000-square-mile broadcast area. It provides news stories from all its communities, regional call-in shows, and statewide information from the Alaska Public Radio Network.
