Jamz 98.1, also known as KJMQ (98.1 FM), is an American-based top 40/CHR music format radio station licensed to Lihue, Hawaii, that offers a mix of contemporary pop, hip-hop, and Top 40 hits. The station is owned by James Primm. KJMQ first went on air as KAWV on August 1, 1997; the call sign was changed to the current KJMQ on October 4, 2007. The station targets a younger demographic, particularly listeners aged 10 to 34, while also appealing to the 25 to 44 age group with a slight female skew. It also airs the syndicated Danny and Kait in The Morning. The station’s playlist includes artists like Bruno Mars, Rihanna, and Drake, among others.
