FMX 94.5 FM, also known as KFMX-FM (94.5 MHz), is a United States-based mainstream rock music format commercial FM radio station licensed to Lubbock, Texas, that features local rock-focused programming, including live DJ shows, rock countdowns, and specialty weekend segments. It is currently owned by Townsquare Media. The station is known for its fast-paced “bite-sized” segments and has been syndicated to other Texas markets like Abilene and Wichita Falls. Over the decades, it has used branding such as “Pure Rock, 94.5 FMX” and “Absolute Rock” while building a reputation in Lubbock’s rock music scene. Beyond music, the station is heavily involved in local events, including the “Nightmare on 19th Street” haunted attraction (co-owned by Wes Nessman).
