El Jefe 1490 AM, also known as WBSS (1490 AM), is a United States-based regional Mexican format radio station licensed to Pleasantville, New Jersey, that features syndicated programs such as “El Bueno, La Mala y El Feo” from 7 AM to 1 PM and “El Free Guey” from 4 PM to 9 PM. The first station to broadcast on the 1490 frequency at the South Jersey shore was WBAB in Atlantic City, which operated as a CBS affiliate in the 1940s.
