About Cool 101
Cool 101, also known as WQXC-FM (100.9 FM), is a United States-based oldies music format radio station that is dedicated to bringing its listeners the coolest tunes from those golden decades of the 50s and 60s. Licensed to Allegan, Michigan, the station first began broadcasting in 1981 under the WAOP call sign. The station has something for everyone on its playlist, and it believes that music should be accessible to all.

The station was licensed to Otsego, Michigan, USA, from its sign-on until the city of license changed to Allegan in November 2006. It was also formerly known by the name "Quixie 101" prior to changing to "Cool 101."
