AM 920 The Country Giant

AM 920 The Country Giant, also known as KLMR (920 kHz), is a United States-based classic country format radio station licensed to serve Lamar, Colorado, that focuses on classic country hits, “music of the all-time country music giants.” It is owned by Kirk Crespin and Dale Willhite, through licensee Riverside Communications, LLC. KLMR first began broadcasting in December 1948, originally on a different frequency before moving to 920 kHz in 1955. It is a staple of the Southeast Colorado community, known for its deep roots in agricultural reporting and classic country music. Over the decades, “The Country Giant” became known locally as a staple station for country music and community programming. The station also provides syndicated programs, including Coast to Coast AM with George Noory during overnight hours.
