The station was acquired by The Voice of Northern Arizona Ltd., the owners of KVNA 600 AM. It plays a variety of current pop hits and popular music, catering to a young, energetic audience. KMVA and sister station KZON 103.9 FM in Gilbert simulcast an adult contemporary format, covering the Phoenix metropolitan area. In addition to music, the station also features entertaining radio personalities and segments that appeal to its target demographic. Throughout 2009, the station aired the syndicated Elvis Duran and the Morning Show and On Air With Ryan Seacrest.
