About 107.7 The Bronc
107.7 The Bronc, also known as WRRC (107.7 FM), is a United States-based college FM radio station in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, serving the students of Rider University. The station is a non-commercial radio station licensed by the FCC to the Board of Trustees of Rider University that broadcasts a variety of music genres, including hits, classic hits, pop, rock, and adult contemporary. It also airs news, talk show programs, sports, educational programs, and weather updates.
107.7 The Bronc (WRRC-FM) originally went on air on November 1, 1962, as WRCR, and was exclusively run by Rider University students and overseen by a general manager/student adviser. In 1965, the station changed its call letters from "WRCR" to "WWRC," because a commercial station on the East Coast wanted the "WRCR" call letters. The station plays a variety of music, including pop, rock, hits, classic hits, adult contemporary, and specialty shows including sports, news, educational programs, etc. By the mid-1980s, the station was finally able to offer 24-hour programming, and WRRC returned to a shortened broadcast schedule.
